Visitors:
If you
are visiting with us today, we welcome you to our parish of the “Holy
Protection.” Please make yourself at home, for the Lord’s house is your
house. If you have any questions, or you
would like to register as a parishioner, please see Father after Liturgy. Thank
you for praying with us today, and we hope you will return soon. If you are
already a parishioner, remember the words of St. Luke (
Sick Call:
We
always remember in our prayers those who are sick, shut in or away from us. If
anyone is sick or in the hospital, do not hesitate to call Father, who is always
available for sick calls or a home visit. May our Lord, the Good Physician,
touch and heal all in need. May our Holy Lady protect them beneath her heavenly
veil. Please continue to write your
prayer requests on our parish prayer list in the vestibule.
Stand up for Life-Pray for Life:
“The first priority, the fundamental priority
of the common good is protecting and supporting human life, for without life,
there is no common good.”
(Bishop Arthur Serratelli) How can our Declaration of Independence state that
all have the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness when the state
sponsors the killing of the unborn.

Weekly Collection:
Collection
for June 26 was $431. 00. Of that total $25 was for the “Peter’s Pence.”
You have an envelope in your box for that collection. If you intend to
contribute, please put your donation in the collection as soon as possible. There
were 24 adults and 6 children attending. God save you! Thank you for all you do for your church! May
God reward you and bless you a hundred-fold as you give generously and lovingly
to His Church.
Flowers: Thanks to all who have been bringing in the flowers each week.
I don’t know about you, but I like it! Very nice! The flowers are always an
offering of prayer, just like lighting a candle so look at them and pray,
“Bless those, O Lord, who have brought these flowers and for whom, and on
account of whom, they have been
brought.”
Saying Your “Hail Mary?” :
Remember
to pray your three extra Hail
Mary each day as we ask our heavenly Mother to
I say
my special extra prayer(s) as I close the gate in front of the church. Choose
something like that as a reminder to say the prayers with piety, devotion and
love and to turn your mind and heart to our Holy Mother and our Protectress
each day. If our parish is to succeed or grow in any way, it will be by our
pleas to our Holy Mother as we ask her to go to her Son and intercede for us.“We beseech your maternal and tender regard
for our needs, O Most Holy Theotokos, and pray that you will present our
prayers to your Son and our God.”
Angels amongst us:
Thank
you for your generous help in and around the church, We’ve got garden angels
who trimmed the bushes and cut the grass. We actually had bales of grass after
the first cutting following our big rains. Angels of light have given us new
light switches and light bulbs in the church and rectory. You indeed are all
angels doing God’s work. Thank you for your time, talent and treasure for all
you do “for St. Mary’s.” May God reward your love and care for His Church.
