To the Parish Family of St. Nicholas:
You are cordially invited to join us as we
celebrate the 90th Anniversary of the laying of the cornerstone of
our church in 1919.
On Sunday, December 20, 2009 at 12:00 Noon, a
Pontifical Liturgy will be concelebrated by Bishop Paul Chomnycky of Stamford and Bishop Stephen Chmilar of Toronto (a former assistant of our parish).
Following the Liturgy, a Banquet will be held at the Creekside Banquet
Facility, 2669
Union Rd., Cheektowaga, NY
at 3:00
PM. The cost of the banquet is $35.00. Tickets
will be available soon.
In conjunction with this celebration a
Patron/ Memorial Booklet will be published. Donations can be made in memory of
family members, former parishioners, friends, etc. Donation categories are as
follows: Diamond- $1,000 and up, Platinum-$500-$999, Gold-$250-$499, Silver-
$100-249 or Bronze-up to $100. Please fill in the attached form and return it
to the parish office.
As part of the Banquet program we are
hoping to put together a DVD of
“St. Nicholas through the Years”. If you
have any pictures of parish activities, family celebrations (including
Weddings, Baptisms, First Communions, etc.) that you would like to have
included in this DVD, please turn them in to the parish office.
Please make sure your name is on these pictures so they can be returned to you.
This is a large undertaking and we invite
you to join our committee. Look for further announcements and meeting dates and
other information in the church bulletin.
